“Intensity”

Intensity is a 12 in by 12 inch acrylic painting of a single racing cyclist in about 1989 or 1990. It’s hanging on the wall next to a product display in Cardinal Bicycle in Grandin Village in Roanoke Virginia.

This painting started me down a path painting action sports. My husband is the teenager racing in this picture from 1990. That same intensity continues to infuse his rides to this day, but he does take the time to train me (cleats were a fun learning curve!)

Do you use cleats when you ride? Clipped in on your pedals? If so - do you remember how many times you face-planted? Because I remember each time!
