I am an artist

I am Kristi Gray, an artist in the mountains of southwestern Virginia. I use acrylic on canvas to recreate moments in action sports that are full of excitement, intensity, and joy. These are the moments that make memories, that allow us to relive and remember.

I also love photography! And I used it quite a lot in the journal I wrote…

I am a teacher

I am also a teacher! I spent 25 years in public schools and finally stepped away for a number of complicated reasons. But I learned in all that time that I love to nurture that spark of creativity in people! I’m not blind to technology and I use it (obviously), but I’m excited about what is happening as people rebuild community around the creative spark inside each of us. There is a dire need for us all to disconnect from tech at times and tap that part of ourselves that solves problems. That creates. That revels in the creative process. Be looking for the classes I’ll be facilitating in the near future!
